Our Mission

We are the Safety Harbor Professional Firefighters, Local 2267 of the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF). Our firefighters and paramedics serve the City of Safety Harbor and surrounding communities. We respond to many types of emergencies including: Fires, Medical Emergencies, Vehicle Crashes, Hazardous Materials Incidents and Marine Rescues.

Service to the community includes much more than handling emergencies. We also participate in the following activities: Public Education, Fire Prevention Programs, Pool Safety Inspections, CPR Classes, Smoke Detector Installation, Hydrant Testing, and Public Relations Events. We consider training a very high priority and devote time to it every day of the year.

Our organization was founded on September 4, 1973. Since it’s inception, our members have been actively involved with charitable efforts within our community. We also assist national charities in raising funds for their honorable causes.

The Safety Harbor Professional Firefighters organization is affiliated with the International Association of Firefighters, The Florida Professional Firefighters and the Pinellas County Council of Firefighters. We actively participate in the political process to ensure the issues affecting public safety are heard at every level of government.

We are proud to serve 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We greatly appreciate the support from our citizens throughout the years. We are fiercely dedicated to this City and the people who call it home.
